Overall, 1,800 of 2,000 buildings were demolished this early February in RT 16 and RT 19/17, Penjaringan Urban village, Penjaringan Sub-district.

Head of Penjaringan Sub-district, Yani Wahyu Purwoko said, the building owners who fit the requirement are relocated to Muara Baru and Pulogebang Flat, while the others who do not fit the requirement are given transport to move from the area.

"A total of 650 family heads (KK) were relocated to Muara Baru Flat, and 25 family heads want to be relocated to Pulogebang Flat," Purwoko said, Thursday (2/5).

Purwoko continued, his side will collect the data of 200 building that located in RT 16/19. The building owner who own the 4x8 meter will be relocated to flat. "The Muara Baru Flat still have 150 units to be occupied, and we targeted the demolition will complete by the mid-February, " he added.

Heriyanto, Executive of Jakarta Reservoir and River Normalization said, after the demolition process is done, his side will immediately clean the mud to deepen the reservoir and build the road and park on the wet section.

"We will also restore the function of Gandong River that located at the wet section after all this normalization project is done," he said.
